The Code of Conduct is there to provide a clear set of guidelines so that Owners and Sponsors can work together in order that both parties get the most from their business arrangement.

It ensures that both parties operate within the boundaries set by Customs and Excise in order to allow Owners to gain additional income from their horse and reclaim their VAT whilst at the same time providing excellent brand promotion opportunities for the Sponsors.

Included as appendices to the Code of Conduct are a specimen Sponsorship contract, which can be used to register a Sponsorship agreement with Weatherbys, and also a specimen Sponsorship agent's contract, which can likewise be used in the setting up of an agency agreement with a third party.
